2. Our Services
We supply and professionally install cat flaps, dog doors and pet doors in Dublin and surrounding areas. Our services include:
- Providing free, no-obligation quotes based on information you supply.
- Supplying pet door products from leading international brands.
- Professional installation into doors (uPVC, wood, composite, metal), glass (single, double, triple glazing), walls, conservatories and other locations.
- Post-installation support and warranty service.
3. Quotes and Pricing
- All quotes are provided free of charge and without obligation.
- Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the applicable Irish rate unless stated otherwise.
- A quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued unless otherwise stated.
- The final price may vary from the initial quote if the installation requirements differ from what was originally described (for example, if a survey reveals additional complexity such as thermal coatings on glass, unusual wall thickness, or structural modifications). We will always inform you of any price changes before proceeding.
- For glass installations, a survey may be required to confirm suitability. Survey findings may affect the final price.
4. Bookings and Deposits
- A deposit may be required to confirm your installation booking. The amount will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Once a deposit is paid, your installation will be scheduled. We will confirm the date and time with you.
- If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours' notice. We will do our best to accommodate changes.
5. Installation
- Our installers are trained specialists with expertise in glazing, carpentry, wall installations and composite door mechanisms.
- We will carry out the installation with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with industry standards.
- Typical lead times are approximately 2 weeks for door and wall installations, and approximately 1 month for glass installations (including survey and glass manufacture).
- We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, supplier delays, or access issues at your property.
- You are responsible for ensuring our installer has safe and clear access to the installation area on the agreed date.
6. Your Rights as a Consumer
As a consumer in Ireland, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland), the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), and other applicable consumer protection legislation. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Key consumer rights include:
- Right to clear information: You are entitled to clear, accurate information about our products and services before you commit.
- Right to quality: Products supplied must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
- Right to proper service: Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
- Cooling-off period: For distance contracts (e.g. orders placed online or by phone), you may have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract. However, please note that once installation work has begun with your express consent, the right to cancel may be limited. We will inform you of this before starting work.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
- You may cancel your order before installation begins. If a deposit has been paid, we will refund it in full provided cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled installation date.
- If you cancel less than 48 hours before the scheduled date, or after the installer has arrived, we may retain a reasonable amount to cover costs already incurred.
- For glass installations where bespoke glass has already been manufactured, cancellation may not be possible and the deposit may be non-refundable. We will make this clear at the time of booking.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule your installation, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or a full refund.
8. Payment
- Payment is due on completion of the installation unless otherwise agreed.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, card, or other methods as communicated at the time of booking.
- All prices are in Euros (\u20ac) and include VAT at the applicable Irish rate.
9. Warranties
- Product warranty: All pet flaps and pet doors carry the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty terms vary by brand and product.
- Glass warranty: Sealed glass units come with a 5-year warranty against seal failure.
- Installation warranty: If there is a quality issue with our installation, we will fix it free of charge within 6 months of the installation date.
- Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, or normal wear and tear.
10. Limitation of Liability
- We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our services or products, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the relevant service or product.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
